Prunie: You just really never know who someone really is…
Sonja: What you mean like we’re multi-faceted and everyone brings out different parts of who we are?
P: No, I mean maybe the bus driver we met today is also a healer and highly respected Leader in his community. He’s just not widely known or in the spotlight. And looking at his eyes, I’d say he’s very purposeful about that. He’s at a level where the people who need to know about him find him.
S: How on earth did you come to that conclusion?
P: I’ve always had a hunch that what is most real is often hidden….and I heard the two women who sat behind us, talking about him in whispered tones.
S: I must have dropped off
P: In a manner of speaking
S: What does that mean?
P: You dropped off into the cyber world Sonja. So in some ways you did drop off.
S: You were eavesdropping and I was minding my own business
P: My ears have a natural tendency to focus when someone interesting looking whispers
S: Interesting looking!
P: Ah Sonja, you have to observe with other eyes and hear between the lines
S: What made them interesting looking?
P: Contentment and mischief in their eyes, in equal doses. The one on the left wears her wrinkles like a badge of honour from crinkling and laughing, and the other one cocks her head when she listens to her friend
S: And…?
P: And nothing…if my answers don’t meet all your criteria around being satisfying I can’t help it. You asked a question and I answered it. It’s what got my attention.
S: And they talked about the bus driver
P: I’ve said everything I’m going to say. I’ll catch the bus at the same time next week to see if there’s more
S: Really?
P: No. Ag Sonja, I always notice when the seemingly ordinary has magic brimming below the surface. It’s all there, but we’ve been trained to expect magic to look a certain sparkly way out there. Remember it was an ordinary looking lamp that had to be rubbed. You first have to notice the lamp in the first place. Portals are unlikely to advertise on social media.
